Back with some more crochet show ‘n’ tell…….. (The papercrafting is well and truly on hold at the moment, I just can’t seem to get in the right zone :-/)
So, I mentioned before that I’d been crocheting granny squares. A lot of the gorgeous crochet I see around the internet is very brightly coloured, so cheerful and eyecatching, but I’m more of a muted colours girl, so for my granny squares I decided to go with this colour scheme:
I have no idea yet if I’ll keep the blanket these squares are destined for, so my colour choices weren’t determined by anything other than that I like them! The yarn is Stylecraft Special DK, it’s quite ‘hairy’ (it’s a technical term, you know
) but very soft and snuggly. I love all my squares and waste spend many a minute sorting and arranging them. See?
There are 64 squares so far. And no two are the same. I didn’t realise I was going to be this anal, LOL!
I chose a mocha to join them with, these are the first two,
and I can’t wait to see the whole lot joined together. I’m already planning the border, just got to get a few more squares done first. Like, 40 more *sigh*. Lucky I love it so much
.
xx
Ohh, these are lovely and it’s going to be so fab when it’s all joined up. I love it when you can see it growing! xx
